Happy Birthday Card

Today is a special day : I'm writing my post all in english for you, my foreign "blogger friends" and especially for a person, Kazan, "from 2 sketches for You", who have her birthday this week.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAZAN !
My english isn't as fluent as I want, so apology me if I'm writing with mistakes or bad turn of sentences.
Few post earlier, Kazan wanted to see how I obtained this ribbon style.
So for her birthday,...and for all of you, here is my first tutorial, with my DH's help (who took the photos).
1 - Take a ribbon which length is equal in twice those of your card.
2 - Sew it back and forth, roughly, with a "thread to built" ("fil à bâtir" in french, I don't know the english word).
3 - Pull on the thread to make appear the pleats.
4 - Use a double-sided adhesive and glue the ribbon on.
5 - Sew it but take care, don't crush the pleats.
Remove the "built" thread. Et voila !
And here is the card I obtain, made for 2S4Y's and KennyK Krafty Girlz's (#17, Any thing goes) weekly challenges.
Supplies :
- Papers : Stampin'up Cardstock "Early Espresso", SEI "Vivacious, Claire"
- Ribbons : Stampin'up
- Digistamp : kennykdownloads.com "Xmas accessories"
- Die cut : Spellbinders Nestabilities "Labels Sixteen"
- Ink : Ranger Distress "Old paper and tattered rose"
- Sketch : 2S4Y Kazan's 65
Thank you for all your friendly comments. See you soon in my factory !
Hugs, Valerie

A bientôt, Valérie

Bisous, Thalie
